Girls night out tonight arranged for weeks. We don't meet often any more due to kids, life etc. So far 3 have cried off today with shitty excuses, 3 never responded at all. There's only 9 of us in the group......so now I have to go out in the cold and wind to meet 2 people ! And I decided to drive. Grrrrrrrr

I would be pissed off too, can't you rearrange for another time?

I much prefer a small group, but I appreciate not everyone does. I suppose it also depends on the dynamic between the 3 of you.

This exactly. If I get along swimmingly with both of them, I'd see it as an improvement. If we're not that close/have nothing in common, I think I'll take a rain check on the outing.

Have a fucking brilliant night just to spite all the rest! Splash evidence all over your social media/chat app of choice!

I say, while sat at home missing out on an event I really wanted to go to but I'm too ill for...

There were 4 of us and it was lovely to see them. One of the no responses turned up. They were equally as pissed off as I was about the no shows. One had been out early doors with her daughter for drinks, got home and didn't want to come back out. One had unexpected guests from abroad turn up. Sorry but if you have prior plans you surely say "sorry, lovely to see you but I'm going out in an hour as I have plans. You're welcome to chat to my husband until I get home". Another apparently has dental problems - but she's always got some poor excuse.

One had unexpected guests from abroad turn up. a bit more understandable but also weird, they came from abroad with no warning?

sounds like you had a good night anyway

Surely all that matters is whether or not you had a good night, which you say you did!

Sod the non-turner-uppers! They missed out!

Whenever I go out in a large group we end up in groups of 3 or 4 anyway.

If I had unexpected guests from abroad turn up I don't think I'd be like "off on a night out,sit and wait here until I get back or if not see you in another few years!" Haha. Think that one had a pretty good excuse!
