Sorry, posted in here for traffic.

So I have just bought a chest of drawers for new baby. Second hand oak wood. Very clean and I have already wiped out again with Ecover.
Anyway AIBU to want to line the drawers with that scented lining paper? Do it for all the other drawers in our house. But worried the chemicals might be bad for a new born. I plan to keep baby grows and vests etc in the drawers.
Am I massively other thinking this?

I think you're massively overthinking yes.

If you want the liners just get them. Maybe let them air for a few days before you add the baby clothes on top if you're really worried.

If you don't want chemicals line them with parcel paper and then pop in a wrapped soap bar or little bag of dried lavander.

Thank you everyone. Why I didn’t think of parcel paper I have no idea. Anyway will continue with my paper.

My friend thought along the same, slightly bonkers but well intentioned new Mum, lines. She ended up lining the drawers with pretty wrapping paper and popping some fruit tea bags in there, dry ones. Not soggy.
