Me & DH are currently hauled up on the sofa with a cold binge watching Friends & eating toast & boiled eggs. Although I'm craving sticky toffee pudding & custard. What's your go to thing to watch/eat when you're not feeling very well? 😥😷

I like to watch wildlife documentaries (nice ones with no predation!) and eat carby things like pasta or rice.

I hope you feel better soon Flowers

RestingBitchFaced · 12/10/2018 12:07

Tomato soup or marmite on toast with tea, and come dine with me

MissusGeneHunt · 12/10/2018 12:09

Murder She Wrote and Midsomer Murders! Toast and honey and tea. Get well soon!

scortja · 12/10/2018 12:09

Well written comedies from (fairly recent) days of yore - Peep Show, The Office, Thick of It, Alan Partridge, IT Crowd, Kath and Kim.. Father Ted if I need soothing..

Food - carbs and fat basically.. Baked potato with cheese and sour cream, cheese and crackers, pasta with cheese.. cheese cheese cheese.. A proper pudding with custard sounds really good though!

TubbyTubster · 12/10/2018 12:12

Vegemite on toast and the X Files on Amazon Prime are my saviours today! Feel better soon.

scortja · 12/10/2018 12:12

Oooh - Midsomer Murders! Good call!

WhichSchoolForDS · 12/10/2018 12:13

BBC Pride and prejudice. Chicken soup with crusty bread or won ton soup.

dizzydaisies · 12/10/2018 12:15

Jam sandwiches or loads of hot, heavily buttered toast and I'll watch something like the Thorn Birds!
Almost makes me want to be ill lol

Tryingtoswallow101 · 12/10/2018 12:17

The princess bride with Chucky eggs and soliders! Eggs have to be perfect to dunk.

Hot water bottle, brew, sofa, throw and Princess Buttercup!

redexpat · 12/10/2018 12:18

Sharpe is good ill tv.

BiscuitsAndGravy · 12/10/2018 12:18

Oven chips with mayo...lots of mayo.

Knittedfairies · 12/10/2018 12:20

When I’m not feeling well, it’s a plain jacket potato (no butter or filling) or un-buttered toast. When I’m starting to feel better, it’s a bag of crisps and lemonade - neither of which I have normally. And David Attenborough on the telly.

lilyheather1 · 12/10/2018 12:22

Well thanks ladies, Now i have to go outside with very few clothes on and wet hair to catch a cold so I can enjoy all of these wonderful things you've written about ! Smile

Busybusybust · 12/10/2018 12:27

Heinz tomato soup and cheese and crackers. listen to the radio.

MrsClayneCrawford · 12/10/2018 12:35

Thankyou for the well wishes ☺

Annoyed I didn't think to buy sticky toffee pudding. Considering maltloaf & peanut butter later. Obviously this cold has not affected my appetite 🍰

Everything. When I'm ill, I'll eat us out of house and home lol

Charmed is my favourite show to binge watch

possumgoddess · 12/10/2018 12:38

Tuna pasta. A go to dish from my childhood which my DH makes for me when I have had to travel for work and get home very late, so when I am very tired, and when I am ill. Tinned tuna, condensed tinned tomato soup, cooked penne pasta, mix, grated cheese on top, heat up together in the microwave, eat by spearing 2 or 3 pieces of penne on the tines of your fork. Yum.

Grumpbum123 · 12/10/2018 12:39

Anything with David Attenborough and crusty bread toasted with butter and marmite

Fairylea · 12/10/2018 12:43

Toast or soup. Or toast and soup.

I watch the BBC Pride and Prejudice when unwell also!

BlackInk · 12/10/2018 12:58

Buttery toast with Marmite or tinned tomato soup with buttered bread... cookery or medical things on TV. Cups of tea and biscuits later.

I am also now wishing I was off work with a not-too-bad cold :)

MrsClayneCrawford · 12/10/2018 13:14

I'm really enjoying reading everyones posts. Surprised how many of you have said Marmite.

If my DH wasn't off sick I'd probably be watching my Scott & Bailey boxset. My go to films when I'm ill are The River Wild or No Good Deed ☺
