Light bleeding at 21 weeks..

Sorry I appreciate that this isn’t an AIBU but I’ve been knocked sick by this.

I’m 21 weeks with our much longed and fought-for first IVF baby (not that that makes it any worse, but I’m just so desperate to have a baby in my arms). Everything has been absolutely textbook until last night. Went to the toilet and was spotting when I wiped (sorry tmi). A few spots of red blood, not lots, followed by a little pink blood. I was quite hysterical and I have been extremely calm up to now. We went to hospital and heard the heartbeat. Utter relief.

What I’m wondering is..just how common is this? Any stories of hope or anything g to look out for.

I should add that it’s stopped this morning and no blood on pad overnight at all. Sorry if this is hurtful to anyone.

I had this at 5,7, 12 & 17 week went to hospital or midwife every time no idea why it happened. I'm now 35+5
