Selling on eBay

I have bags of new clothes that I've never worn and just want to get rid of, I really need the money ASAP.

I've tried everything, good quality pictures, offer free shipping, reasonable price. But it won't sell!

I'll admit it's only been couple days since I've started but still, if any MNers sell on eBay can you please help? And any other sites you know that will sell well?

I've even considered auction? What do you think?

Post them to sell so they end on the last working day of the month when most people have been paid!

How about Gumtree or FB selling? Selling clothes on eBay is a minefield even if you are experienced, it's not a good venue if you need money quickly, and you can easily end up out of pocket if a buyer says something isn't as described.

Selling locally for cash is quicker and simpler, with no risk of chargeback or having to refund a "buyer" 's original and return postage.

Oh, and with auction, start at the lowest price you're willing to accept, so you're not going through all that hassle for 99p

Selling clothes on ebay can be difficult.
The market is flooded.
Decent brands will sell, run of the mill average store clothes won't sell.
Do they still have tags on?
What are the brands?

The Ebay topic might help you www.mumsnet.com/Talk/ebay

Or Ebay have a forum for 'New to selling' which you can find under 'Community' if you have the patience to mess about trying to find it, there are a few topics there for selling and many people that have been selling for years.

It can be a bit slow when you start, you have to work a lot harder at it these days and read all the useful information you can find on listing etc.
