AIBU?
To think there's no need to tamper with the green man at a pedestrian crossing?

Just stopped at a pedestrian crossing and was a bit when I realised that the little green man was in fact the male/female symbol. Am I now such a dinosaur that I was a) a bit shocked and b) can't work out really why it was needed?

I noticed this in Trafalgar square not seen it anywhere else and not sure if they are still like that but I agree with you.

They were brought in for Pride a couple of years ago in Trafalgar square, and are still there: www.google.co.uk/amp/s/metro.co.uk/2016/09/18/gay-and-here-to-stay-lgbt-traffic-lights-wont-be-removed-6135953/amp/

Oh I had no idea it was for pride I thought it was something to do with it being called the green “man” and people being offended. Shows what I know!

Glad it's not just me! Just thought it's a bit ott.

Awe two blokes and a little heart shape I think they're great.
But wouldn't want them everywhere.

It’s cute, why not? Near me, there are horse crossings, up at a height more easily accessible for those of us on horseback. Makes me smile.
