I ABU because this shouldn’t really go here but I’m a bit flummoxed about what I found in our tin of sweet corn (pic attached).

It’s a jelly like in texture. Any ideas?

I wonder if its corn smut? If it is, its supposed to be a delicacy but personally I wouldn't if you paid me

There was a larger chunk in the first tin which I didn’t see til I drained the veg on top of the pasta. Couldn’t work out where it came from until I opened the second tin.

Obviously we didn’t eat any of the food!
