It's happened twice now - a friend that I've lost touch with contacts me and it's great, we have a lovely chat on the phone, which finishes with me saying 'I'll send you an email' So, I send them a nice email with my contact details and more news. And sit back, waiting to hear from them. And nothing comes back. They've satisfied their curiosity that I'm not dead or divorced and now bugger off again. it feels like 'I got in touch, but had forgotten how boring you were'.
I'm planning on sending them a nice passive-aggressive Xmas card. But will hopefully have got over the feelings of rejection by then.
