Security issue and im freaking out

Okay so posting here for traffic because I'm freaking out and need advice.

I live in a set of 3 flats all next to each other on top of a shop. There is a locked door at the bottom of the communal stairs with buzzers. Our flats open onto a communal terrace on the roof of the shop but it's private property and you need to access through the downstairs locked door. There's a railing along one side of the terrace, another is a high wall (about 2 meters tall) with a fire escape that is only accessable from inside, and the rest is the flats.

Recently some new neighbours moved in (4 weeks ago max) and tonight at about 1030pm he started buzzing all the buzzers. He was shouting and banging on the communal door. He was shouting ndn name and saying let me in. At midnight we called the police. He walked away about 5 minutes later. Next thing we knew, we had a knock on our front door. I was expecting it to be the NDN saying sorry for the noise or something. But it was the same heavily drunk man asking for which flat ndn was in. We didn't say but he figured it out. He sat outside her door yelling and banging on the windows. Police showed up at 1am and convinced him to leave.

But some how this stranger, a drunk potentially aggressive man, got onto the apparently inaccessible terrace and we had no way of getting out safely. I have a tiny baby here and I'm terrified in case he comes back or somebody worse shows up. Id had this concern about a workman a few weeks back where he told me he climbed over the high wall as he knew it was there and my buzzer wasn't working but everyone called me paranoid. But this proves it really isn't secure. Can I go to the landlord? Surely this isn't ok.

Sorry I realise this is rambley but I'm all shaken up and I can't sleep with worry.

Right

First off breath.

Understandably you are upset at some drunk guy turning up.

Make sure all your locks in the flat are secure and all the windows are closed.

You can get cheap little camera doorbells so you can see who is at the front door,

Secondly you can report it to the landlord but he won’t be able to do much.

Always keep a list of the disturbances you think are linked to that new guy who just moved in and if needed keep a log with the police.

You can also TEXT the police if you don’t feel safe.

Do you live on your own or with a partner ?
