Event difficulties

NC for this.
Back story:
Person 1 is pushing for an event in the local community to go ahead.
Person 2 tries to stop it but ulitmately goes along with it.
Person 3 is difficult but wants to be involved.

3 has just dropped out and taken some of the funds raised with them. Police are involved but 3 has said that it is wages owed (we do this voluntarily- apart from me, I get paid for my role.) 1 wants to stop the event and 2 wants it to go ahead. WWYD?

I would stop the event, and make it known why (provided you are 100% certain that person 3 isn't legitimately owed any monies).

Yes: Persons A, B and C

Were the funds required to make it happen? Should go ahead regardless.
