My mother it seems has no real interest in my family. She doesn't phone to say hello ever. When she does see us she doesn't say much. She doesn't really acknowledge my dp. She will talk to my 2dc at 1st then nothing. Birthdays and Xmas I'm lucky if I get a card, my DC will get silly things which are clearly from a charity shop or just cheap tat.
Yes I do buy bits and pieces from charity shops and poundshops, however just gifts here and there not on a day they should be made a fuss off!
