I'll start.

AIBU to be pissed off with my recluse sister?

My sister is an introvert to the point where she won't even speak to me anymore. We live together but I literally don't see her from one day to the next and TBH I'd like a bit of company. Also it's bloody cold in our house, especially walking past DSis room, anyone got any recommendations for portable heaters? Preferably from John Lewis.

pillows YANBU although you should provide stability for the DC and not fly off when the wind changes :)

Thatstheendofmytether · 09/10/2018 23:13

My family are extremely different to me, in every way possible we share no common ground and they don't seem to like me very much.
Thankfully I have a new school, I have made friends and my teacher is wonderful. The head on the other hand, she is a nasty piece of work.
I've discovered I have some pretty amazing talents and I think they could stem from the neglect and verbal abuse I have suffered as a child.
WIBU to ask my teacher to adopt me, I don't think she would mind, and by the looks of things she will be entitled to a pretty big house soon.

@Pillowofsociety - Mary Poppins?

Here's mine...
I've NC as this is outing. I started a new job working for someone who is - let's say quite high up in politics. Let's call him Tony. I fancied him immediately and got so flustered I ended up dropping the F bomb on my first day at work. It all went horribly wrong when I got sexually harrassed by a kind of colleague of Tony's, and I don't work there any more. But I still really fancy Tony. WIBU to snog him behind the scenery of a primary school nativity play?

I’m an elderly widower. I still live in the house that my wife and I shared, so many memories.
The council are trying to get me out so they can build on the land. They want to put me in a home but I don’t want to go.
AIBU to follow the dream we had together and go to a far off land that we both dreamed of?

willstarttomorrow · 09/10/2018 23:20

I am a young woman in a profession I love and I am marrying a perfect man. He is every mother's dream, in a good profession, we will have a good life and I adore him. I live in a small,conservative town full a group of strong women who are always there for each other. This includes my mom. She is a wonderful woman but insists in being in control of my life and I feel suffocated and that I am not allowed to grow up. I need her and everyone I have grown up. It may make a difference that I have a potentially life limiting condition and I know this makes her extra anxious (I am also her only daughter) but it is driving me mad. AIBU

Thatstheendofmytether · 09/10/2018 23:25

I used to live in a small town, the people there weren't very nice to me as a child. I'm adopted and was a bit different to them. Eventually I had enough and I left. Found myself a little set up a good bit away from them. It's not exactly homey but it's mine and I can do what I like. I get the odd person trying to stop by for a nosey but I soon scare them off. I have a little dog who keeps me company, although he gets right on my nerves sometimes too.
Recently there was this annoying little girl who kept insisting on me going to some festival they were having in town, god she was persistant. After much deliberation I decided to go... bad idea it was a disaster! They were all as annoying as they were the first time I left, so WIBU to steal all their possessions and ruin their favourite time of year? They really are the most annoying people.

Aintnothingbutaheartache · 09/10/2018 23:27

The Grinch!!

I'm busy trying to run a frugal business, practically on my own since my partner died and all around me are idiots trying to waste money they don't have on ridiculous fripperies. My clerk tells me he's having a whole day off tomorrow FFS.
Its freezing and I'm not feeling well either. Aibu to just go home for some simple supper and a quiet night in?

thighofrelief · 09/10/2018 23:32

I recently met this gorgeous man and he took me to his sister's wedding. he's a WW2 hero and very handsome. His family are very, very wealthy and have a great deal of protection, some even seem to be from the FBI. All of the wedding food was Italian which was nice and there was even a famous lounge singer who did a guest performance. His brother is a bit of a rake and I'm sure went off in private with one of the bridesmaids. His father is lovely but rather old fashioned and had many, many guests line up to thank him for the invite to the wedding.

Fiffyshadesofgreymatter · 09/10/2018 23:32

@AnnabelleLecter

I'm going to say A Muppet's Chrisas Carol because that person is the lost fun!
