I don’t feel very appreciated by my teenagers. They appreciate a Kanye West song more than me Hmm

I think I should appreciate my own glorious self and we all should more often, even the little things we got done today?

Today I worked all day then came home did 2 laundry loads and just started putting a bed together by myself. I am determined it will be done by 9pm Grin but probably not if I am on MN

Biber · 09/10/2018 22:18

I was one of a group of people leafleting for the People's Vote march. It was gratifiying to talk to people who had voted to leave and want another vote. Democracy in action. We handed out around a thousand leaflets in just over an hour.

Babyshark2018 · 09/10/2018 22:20

I left the house with my high needs 3 month old, went to three different places to run errands and met a friend for coffee too. I had a quick cry once but powered through!

TentUpFirstBunkUpLater · 09/10/2018 22:21

SA tax return

motortroll · 09/10/2018 22:44

I got my girl to her swimming lesson despite leaving work late, getting caught in traffic and having to stop for petrol. Kudos to my 11 yr old for having the kit ready as I blasted in and out the door on the way to get the small one from my mum!

I also rescued a supply teacher from the worlds worst science class today and remembered to get a lab coat child number 3 needed for her assembly...

And I taught some awesome lessons!!

And I persuaded my husband that we don't need to spend £15k on a car.

I made some lush Thai noodles for tea.

I'm basically bloody awesome!!

motortroll · 09/10/2018 22:44

It was a good day....tomorrow I will mostly be watching telly lol it's all about balance!

motortroll · 09/10/2018 22:47

@FilthyforFirth in the exact same position as you running wise. I did manage 4K last night with 2 short walks but man it's frustrating! I'm aiming to be back up to half by jan as long as I stay injury free!!

Pm me if you want some mutual motivation! I'm finding my running friends too depressing as they're all running half's atm!

ginandnappies · 09/10/2018 22:48

I went to the docs, balled my eyes out and admitted I need help. I'm pretty happy I'm hopefully on the road to better days!

Babyshark2018 · 09/10/2018 22:54

Well done ginaandnappies! Flowers

PurpleRobe · 09/10/2018 22:55

I didn't lose my shit when someone was being a cunt to me in an important meeting today.

It took every ounce of my being to control myself

And that was very hard... As I'm a passionate Italian 😂

ginandnappies · 09/10/2018 22:57

Thanks @Babyshark2018 xx

Alternativefacts · 09/10/2018 23:19

Fab thread - not been feeling appreciated by my teenagers either Pookiedo but yesterday DS (13) was dumped by his first girlfriend and has been a bit heartbroken...the thing I have achieved today is helping cheer him up a bit and also getting him to stand up for himself more.

IamPickleRick · 10/10/2018 20:26

Today I am proud of doing a good thing for someone else, that was thankless and won’t ever be reciprocated. Even though the person didn’t appreciate it in the least and I won’t ever do it again, I tried my best today even when I am struggling myself. So I’m proud I did it, even so.

FrangipaniBlue · 10/10/2018 20:40

I didn't punch a particular gentleman obnoxious twunt who has spent the best part of this week behaving like a misogynistic moron towards me.

The phrase "small man syndrome" was invented for him I'm sure.

Smurfybubbles · 10/10/2018 20:52

I managed to look after 5 month old DS who was particularly cranky today with the worst migraine of my life. Did it all on 3 hours sleep after spending the night awake in pain and throwing up Confused I did spend the whole day wearing sunglasses indoors!

VioletCharlotte · 10/10/2018 20:55

Not a great day, but I got up early which meant I got out the house in time without having to rush. I got through an all day meeting at work. When I got home, I managed to get some washing on and cook dinner, despite being exhausted.

HaulingFreight · 10/10/2018 20:59

Managing to care for a 5 month old and keep her happy whilst suffering with an awful kidney infection and wanting to curl up in a ball but resisted

VenusClapTrap · 10/10/2018 21:29

Cleared all the leaves off the lawn and drive in anticipation of the weather changing tomorrow.

Got through another day without hot water, whilst the plumber made an unholy mess of the kitchen. Again.

EmilyRosiEl · 10/10/2018 21:50

Well done Nacknick, that must have taken lots of strength!

maddiemookins16mum · 10/10/2018 21:55

I got a whole line of washing out on the line at 7.15am and was at my desk at 0745. I also finally mastered a really tricky Google docs spreadsheet which I’ve mucked up the last three times I’ve used it.
Oh and I got a payrise (only 1K a year more but every little helps).

wanderings · 10/10/2018 21:59

Scored some of the goals in my new netball team's first win of the season.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 10/10/2018 22:02

I Finally had a good poo (lowers tone massively)

Wauden · 10/10/2018 22:03

I had a cunning plan.
I also cleared up a messy room and tidied up.
I did not watch tv.

Mehaveit · 10/10/2018 22:05

I ran a training workshop for 14 people and got great feed back. I made almost £300 in 90 minutes. Payback for the many many hours of training I've done to be able to train other people!

Mrsmadevans · 10/10/2018 22:17

Did shopping for my Dparents , took Mum to the hairdressers , changed both their beds, hoovered & dusted through , made their lunch & teas, fed the birds, hung 4 loads of washing out and got 3 in and dried & now in the airing cupboard. Washed & wiped up, cleaned the kitchen, bathroom & downstairs toilet. Sorted Dad's car tax, went to a garden centre for a look at their Christmas range , came back to my home got my own washing in & put away , cooked a chilli , washed & wiped up after it and sat down and collapsed Xmas Grin but l am really really happy with what l have achieved today Xmas Grin
