I'm 36 weeks today and exhausted.

I get up to pee 6 times a night.
I can't sleep as I'm so uncomfortable.
I can't regulate my temperature.
I can hardly function at work (last week this week)
I'm hungry, ALL THE TIME.
I'm basically a walking zombie...

How on earth do you get through the last month or so without having a breakdown?

No clue😅I'm 26 weeks and spent half the night awake
Got to 37-4 last time but no idea how I did that😅

NationalShiteDay · 08/10/2018 09:16

Started mat leave early and hibernated. Cost a fortune but well worth it.

Mumof1DS · 08/10/2018 09:19

Counted down the work days until I finished. Updated it each day for motivation.
Had the afternoons off in my last week. Was in agony with SPD and practically crawled by lunchtime. Work were very understanding... I was huge with bump, but nowhere else Shock
Snacked when I was hungry.
I was lucky in that I only really woke up to pee once a night and slept well generally because I was exhausted all the time.

Take the week off sick and just hibernate. You're full term now and could genuinely give birth any day from now. Take advantage of some peace.

RedPandaMama · 08/10/2018 09:20

Just take it one day at a time. I remember not being able to sleep and finding it so difficult, and even walking to the shop felt like I was carrying a huge load of stuff with me (I guess I was!) but once she was born I would love to go back to the last few weeks of being pregnant just for a little break.
Once you finish work just rest as much as you can, sleep lots and get anything you wanted doing, done. We found any cleaning/DIY/home stuff didn't really get done for the first 3 months of DDs life Grin also do some batch cooking so you have stuff in you can quickly reheat when baby is born e.g pies, mac and cheese, lasagne.

At 35 weeks I was all packed.
For a holiday. .
Had a wee at 7 am and saw ONE spot of blood. Rhesus negative so knew I had to ring mw.
She wanted to send an ambulance!!
Dh drove me in and had an emcs at 12!!
So ladies, try and enjoy the last few weeks!!
Ds was small but fine...
But still feel swizzed out of my last few weeks.
And the trip!!

Nothisispatrick · 08/10/2018 09:28

I took mat leave at 35 weeks, barely left the house for 4 weeks and DD was born at exactly 39 weeks after two days of labour. So grateful I had four weeks of hibernation before she came.

Metalhead · 08/10/2018 09:31

With great difficulty! Wink And I finished work at 36 weeks.

MandalaB · 08/10/2018 09:41

If I take this week sick my mat leave kicks in (plus I'm not sick 😜) which wouldn't be good as I'm taking 3 weeks of leave first and mat leave doesn't start until my due date.

I'm SO hoping I don't go in to labour early as I'm not rested at all! Fingers and toes crossed... I'm gathering most people go on mat leave before 37 weeks Confused

A day at a time, or sometimes even an hour! 35 weeks here. Yesterday I woke up at 2.30am and couldn't get back to sleep, so it was a long day. I can't get comfortable in bed, I'm walking like John Wayne. I'm just counting down the days now. I finish work next week when I'll be 374 weeks.

usernotfound0000 · 08/10/2018 09:52

Oops just seen the typo - 37 weeks obviously, although it will feel like 374 Grin

vampirethriller · 08/10/2018 10:03

I'm 37 weeks today and suffering! I love my baby. I'm very grateful! (had a lot of problems when I was younger) but it's not fun right now! SPD is making it feel like I'm wearing knickers made of pain. 6-8 wees a night. Sciatica and a previous back problem. I had pleurisy twice in the last six weeks, I've got the dog to walk twice a day and getting my shoes on has become an extreme sport. Always hungry but if I eat after 5 I have reflux all night. No advice I'm sorry but you've got my full sympathy!
