That's it really... I have name changed but for a completely different thread.

When was the first night out, or first way away from baby.

I believe one works for one the other one doesn't for the other x

Evening concert when DD was 3 months. Left with MIL and expressed milk and came back at 1am to find her (DD not MIL) asleep on the sofa. MIL had used the emergency dummy (only time it ever worked).

Overnight conference at 15 months, left her with DH, still bf but taking cows milk by then. I slept like the dead, first 8 hours since I'd been pregnant.

She overnights at MILs about once a month now she's 2 and sleeping through. The lie-ins are bliss.

you have never gone on a night out with your DH in over 15 years? Without Kids?
Wow

What 'wow' about it Confused

We don't all like the same things!

Nights out are not something either DH have ever been interested in. It's way more than 15 years since. Not because of children, I hadn't had a night out for about 4 years before I married him, let alone started our family.

I don't know why you think that's such a big deal?

I went out leaving DD with DS for a couple of hours when she was a few months old. I went away for a night leaving her with DH when she was about 18 months old. We had our first night out together when she was about three years. Had our first night away together when she was 16 (DS was 11 and in a school residential).

6 weeks - overnight with my parents. Was meant to be for a night out but we went home and slept instead.

The first time we left DS with a babysitter was at about 20 months so we could go for our sex and abnormalities scan with dd. We were gone an hour. Second time was when he was 2 and we left him to go to the hospital to have dd - we were gone 2 hours haha. That's it so far (though the reason for that has been mainly a lack of childcare options).
