I need your help to find out if I'm being overdramatic or not please!!

This afternoon I tripped over whilst carrying something so couldn't see the floor, I went flying and fell all the way down landing on my knee - on a tiled floor. It hurt like hell at the time then calmed down a little but the past couple of hours it is painful, sore to touch, can't bend my leg as it hurts too much but the main bit of my knee (where I landed) feels almost kind of numb to touch if that makes sense?

To be perfectly honest I can't tell if it is swollen or not because my legs (especially my knees) are fat and chunky anyway but it's Defo sore all over and hurts a little when I stand on it altho it's manageable.

Am I being a wimp? It'll just be a bit bruised and stiff in the morning... right? I have work tomorrow - fairly active job but on my feet all day and I'm worried it's gonna affect meBlush

Thanks in advance!

i'm not a doctor or anything, but i can say that if its still sore like this tomorrow then go to your gp or pharmacy in your lunch break or after work, just so they can have a look at it. i say pharmacist because if you go to a place like sainsburys, you do not need an appointment as far as i am aware.

Ice your knee and take ibuprofen

Don't take ibuprofen but ice it. Acute inflammation happens for a reason, to aid healing. Put your leg up and bandage it if you have one.

i doubt you will be able to work tomorrow if you are on your feet all day. see how you feel when you get up but if you are unable to go to work you perhaps need to go to a minor injuries unit tomorrow. Do you live alone? If it does get worse have you got someone who could drive you there?

I live with my DS who is almost 2. I've coped so far put ice on it and on a cushion on the table all night but it still sore. No minor injuries or anything Like that but plenty of pharmacies.

It is mainly being at work all day moving around on my feet for hours. I can barely walk no idea how I'll do it! I'll speak to them in the morning and see if there's a lower movement job I can do from a chair or something! 🤞🤞
