Just watched the programme on Netflix
Cannot deny the similarities with Facebook Live etc.
And the latest 'data breach' was suspect.

There’s a reason why owners of these tech companies refuse to allow their children to use them. They just haven’t told us why.

And all the information is freely given, name, age, DOB, education, relationship history, social history, family connections, clubs, hobbies, childrens schools, friends, hobbies, emotions, social history, real time location, medical history, political allegiances, religious affiliations …… and no one thinks twice..... you know, no government could have dreamed up such a data gathering exercise.

No idea what the circle is, but yes Facebook compiles data. A lot of it. A lot of used to retain the right to use data put up there and can do what it likes with it. It is trying to become the gateway to the Internet too.
