Because he is only 8mo and he won’t notice anyway..? He will be 11mo at Xmas.

I am buying him clothes as he grows anyway.

I will buy him a few small toys, but not as much as for dd who will be 4 at Xmas. I can’t decide if it’s a little unfair or just sensible...

PS: yes, this is my second thread today on a pretty banal subject. I am distracting myself from a shite week.

Yanbu at all.

Lots of people will buy him plastic tat anyway and the your ds will be totally bewildered by the whole thing.

Enjoy a fairly inexpensive Christmas, as you won't get many!

YADNBU! It will be special as it's just his first Christmas, but until he really "gets it" there's no point trying to wow him! Just enjoy baby Christmas snuggles[santa]

My Dd first Christmas was quite minimal. She was 9 months old. She just didn’t need much.

I did make sure to have a couple of packages she could unwrap and one wow big thing to be sitting by the tree. It was a cheap blow up duckie bathtub. She loved it and it was perfect for giving her baths in the regular tub while feeling she was a little more secure. So practical for me, but she thought it was a fun toy.

I know it's a typo but I saw "tide Christmas" and thought what fresh hell is this, is there another day to buy cards and presents for Shock

Clothes is fine. How about a few picture books too?

YANBU I will have a 4yo and 3 month old at Christmas. 4yo will get what she usually gets, 3 month old won't know what's happening so will probably get her a couple of things to put away for when she's a few months older and take it out as we need it.
