ask about school blazer

Sorry if this is a silly question. My DS has just started high school and he wears a blazer. He changes his trousers, shirt and jumper daily, but other mums say they wash the blazer weekly.

If it doesn't look dirty or smell is there really any need?

I haven't washed his blazer at all yet as it appears clean and I think if you wash it too often it will look shabby.

How often do you wash your child's blazer?

I regularly sniff the pits & if it’s a bit ripe I wash it. last summer term it got a few washes due to the heat and it get less washes in the cooler months. It never has anything spilt on it.

When I was at secondary school (long ago) my one skirt and one jumper were washed every holiday. My blazer was not washable and certainly wasn’t dry cleaned, ever.

Every half term (yy to the pain of pockets and badges) .....unless it's pottery in art, in which case everything needs washing.

Almonds I was just thinking the same.
My blazer never got washed, I think I might have had 2 in my high school career?
And I only had one school skirt, and two shirts.
But my mum hated washing clothes, which was also grim and made for some more reasons to bully me.
Possibly why I've gone a bit overboard on the amount of uniform DS has.....
