Marble bathrooms?

I want some in mine. Is it practical, worth the money, etc or AIBU?

My cousins had a bathroom that was fully marble with massive tiles, even up the sides of the bath. It looked great but there was no easy access to the pipes. So when there was a leak under the bath they had to rip a lot out. So make sure your builder can put in a removable access panel to the areas with pipes

We have a marble floor in the bathroom (not our choice and as soon as we have the money I'm ripping it out). One drop of water and it's a skating rink.

Kewqueue I wouldn’t go for a marble floor but like it on the walls.

Marble is gorgeous. But it's also absorbent so can be stained by toothpaste, oils or hair dye, for example. There may be ways round that now (sealants of some kind) - the marble bathrooms I've used were pretty old.
