I'm a bit obsessed with him. I spent almost two hours googling images of him earlier and thinking bad thoughts. BlushConfused

I'm pushing 40 ffs. I thought this odd kind of crush was a thing of days gone by!

He's like a super villain. Yeah...That's it.

CustardOmlet · 05/10/2018 09:00

Elon Musk doesn’t appeal to me, however thank you for introducing me to Grimes, she’s brilliant!

silkpyjamasallday · 05/10/2018 09:19

This started on another thread didn't it OP? I did the same thing. I'm a little bit obsessed with him, but I do have form for being attracted to brilliant but troubled men.

ShovingLeopard · 05/10/2018 09:26

Me too thedevilinablackdress!

crispysausagerolls · 05/10/2018 09:54

He might not be a great person - although none of us really know do we? A spurned ex wife and family feuds are all we have to go on...

However, what he has done for science, his financial contribution but also making it cool and relatable to people again, is brilliant.

Andtheresaw · 05/10/2018 09:56

Eww!

Rainbunny · 05/10/2018 11:10

This thread has made me laugh! I met him years ago when I was at GDC in San Francisco. Myself and another female colleague had stumbled into an Irish bar in a desperate search for late night stodgy food (and a nightcap). He was at the bar and started talking to us, I actually didn't recognise him (pre Tesla or perhaps very early Tesla days) and he was actually shocked and said the classic question "Don't you know who I am??!! I created PayPal!!" At that point I did recognise him but decided to just tell him about the time Paypal kept my money when something I ordered was never delivered. That didn't impress him so he focused on my friend for the rest of the time we were there. He did buy our drinks though to be fair. Massive, massive ego!

SomeKnobend · 05/10/2018 11:44

Yuck. He seems like a real cunt. Calling the rescue guy a paedophile was beyond the pale, and a surprisingly thick thing to do for someone so successful, you'd imagine he'd be more intelligent than that.

RabbityMcRabbit · 05/10/2018 11:46

You need help OP!Grin

Brian9600 · 05/10/2018 11:57

One of the worst humans alive. OTOH I can see that there might be a certainly kinky thrill in fantasising about someone so despicable so fill your boots, OP.

SquatBetty · 05/10/2018 12:16

Jesus! He is REPULSIVE!

He acted like a petulant child over the whole Thai cave rescue thing. How anyone can find that attractive is beyond me.

longwayoff · 05/10/2018 12:18

Vile vile vile vile person. And thats just the good bit.

sunshineandshowers21 · 05/10/2018 12:27

he’s a terrible person... but yeah, i definitely would 🙈

glagdy · 05/10/2018 12:37

Flaps slamming shut.

The before picture is a little odd! Maybe a bad day?

Ok now I see he's a bit of an arse. Hasn't put me off unfortunately.

@CustardOmlet Grimes is fantastic!!! I love that people (vice news included) have started calling him 'Grimes' boyfriend'. Grin

glagdy · 05/10/2018 12:39

@silkpyjamasallday it did. I luffs him.

@thedevilinablackdress Nothing wrong with a Christopher Walker crush!!!

To all those making negative comments about the Thai cave rescue incident, I have massive respect for Elon in that he was prepared to call the guy out. This is an older chap who lives on the beach famous for western men going to find under age Thai brides. I can't believe he would have made this up.

Sowhatifidosnore · 10/11/2018 21:19

YABU - he’s a self absorbed m, woman hating bully with delusions of grandeur ...

Sowhatifidosnore · 10/11/2018 21:23

The Thai thing? The guy that Musk ‘called out’ was leading the rescue efforts, he was a caving expert who pin pointed the whereabouts of those kids to tens of metres when no one else had a clue about where they might be. He’s responsible for saving their lives and is married to a Thai woman. Musk is a sulky brat who threw his toys out of the pram because it wasn’t about him for once and no one wanted it needed the fancy toy that he’d brought because they knew it would work. He was a celeb looky loo who was so famous that they couldn’t refuse letting him be there. Apparently this celeb disaster tourism is a thing and rarely helps with what’s actually going on... he’s a class A dick.

Sowhatifidosnore · 10/11/2018 21:26

And if you don’t think he’s a class A dick then check out the pics he posted on social media of himself at the Thai cave when everyone else was actually working to save those kids.

Lifeisabeach09 · 10/11/2018 21:28

He has sex appeal.
And loads of money!!!;)
What's not to like?!
