DBS check on cleaners

If anyone here own a business, especially cleaning business, do you do DSB check on your cleaners? Do you pay for it?

Legally you are only allowed to do a basic DBS check for this type of worker and it is illegal in this case to refuse to employ someone because they have spent convictions. Do it if it makes your clients happier, but it is pretty worthless.
