Some of you will be Halloween planning. There are some great looking costumes for both kids and adults. I needed fast delivery (for another event) so found a UK based (item location London) eBay seller offering Royal Mail 48 hour tracked service and an estimated arrival date well with in my deadline. I received a despatch email and tracking code.

Only the seller isn’t really in the UK..
And the goods have been despatched (if at all) from China.
The Despatch comms are a cheat and the tracking code is meaningless.

This isn’t a one off, I have since discovered there are many, many sellers doing this, with eBay clearly turning a blind eye. I thought I was eBay savvy but very evidently not. AIBU to be angry and want to warn you?

And Chinese costumes are unlikely to conform to safety standards.

I volunteer in a charity shop - yesterday I spent 3 hours sorting crate after crate of donated costumes to put on the rails. We have LOADS. So check out your local charity shop first.
