To ask for overweight experiences at alton towers

Supposed to be going to A.T next week but im worried im too fat.

Im aware of the "chest restrictions" noted on the website - im not worried about those, im not exactly top heavy.

My issues are my thighs and tum. I wear a 18 top and a 22jeans. I worry about the bars coming down and my thighs being too chunky for them to close.

Does anyone have any experience to put my mind at rest, or even stories that will make me stay home instead

@'BumDisease - obviously no one can lose it all in a week but you could easily do 10lbs to a stone which would make life easier.'

Wow State that's some really sound, healthy dietary advice you're vomiting out there.

Fontofnoknowledge · 01/10/2018 12:18

Sadly, whilst you do not shy away from it, you do not actually possess the intellectual capacity for it.

A debate requires the discussion of two opposing points of view. Which , whilst different must nonetheless be inherently logical. As the only thing you have added to the debate is a completely incomprehensible, illogical non sequitur that does not relate in anyway to the ongoing discussion - I fail to see the 'robust debate' that you feel you are part of (except in your own head) .

I am assuming you are simply one of those people who likes to upset others from behind your key board . For no other reason other than you can.

You may like to try and remember that the milk of human kindness is equally calorie free.

@Defrack - I'm still in the obese category, but I'm half way to where I need to be.

@Bobbybear - I enjoy an excellent social life so people must enjoy my company, it must be my refreshing wit. I'm sure there's people who don't like me but a lion doesn't care about the opinion of sheep.

Rudgie47 · 01/10/2018 12:21

I think what happened to those 2 girls was scandalous when they lost their legs. I personally wouldn't go anywhere near the place.
Be safe OP and if your not happy with the look of something then walk away.

FullOfJellyBeans · 01/10/2018 12:21

Are you actually a 14 year old boy? I only ask because it's the kind of cocky posturing that's common around that age group and you seem to have no idea how you're actually coming across to a group of adults.

MarthasGinYard · 01/10/2018 12:22

'but a lion doesn't care about the opinion of sheep.'

Cheers Parsley Grin

I actually think there is a desperate need for attention here and the best and simplest method of dealing with this level of twattism- is simply to ignore.

Hope you have a great day OP.

Bingolingo · 01/10/2018 12:25

Err...I’ll ignore the posts by small state as they aren’t relevant to the OP, but I’ve been with a group and like the others have said, the only small seated ride is Air (not sure what it’s called now.) They have a trial seat at the start of the queue though. Have an awesome time, I love it there!

TacoFlavouredKisses · 01/10/2018 12:26

Stop.

Feeding.

The troll.

Enjoy your trip OP!

MadisonAvenue · 01/10/2018 12:26

Have a wonderful time OP!

Haven’t been to Alton Towers for about 10 years yet we’re only 45 minutes away, might suggest a day out with my 18 year old!

SmallState · 01/10/2018 12:26

Brilliant Grin keep going man.

I'm picturing Adrian mole now Grin

ProfessorMoody · 01/10/2018 12:30

SmallState - you're not an intellectual. Your spelling and grammar is appalling 😂 You're also not a lion.

HTH.

LydiaLunch7 · 01/10/2018 12:31

You can't lose enough weight in one week to make a significant difference. It's not physically possible.

Hey everyone. SmallState seems to be working themselves into a lather of excitement winding people up. Best not respond.

OP, you don’t need to worry. As PPs have said, check on the practice seats by the front of the queue. The only one that might be tricky is Air, so perhaps avoid that one. Have a great time.

MarthasGinYard · 01/10/2018 12:33

Are you Cersei Lannister?

formerbabe · 01/10/2018 12:39

Fucking hilarious.

Stick this quote in front of a picture of a sunset and you have a brilliantly passive aggressive meme you can post on social media!

soupforbrains · 01/10/2018 12:42

I hope it's not too rude to semi-hijack this topic, but I'm due to go to Thrope Park soon and have been having concerns about the same thing.

I'm a size 18-20 and carry most of it on my bum and thighs. I also have large boobs.

Does anyone have any experience there?

SweetSummerchild · 01/10/2018 12:43

Sorry, it was Tywin.

Boohooyouho · 01/10/2018 12:46

Avoid colossus. The rest should be fine. Colossus is mega tight. I’m tall as well and only just got into it at a size 16-18. Plus the ride is rough as hell so it’s no loss missing it.

EK36 · 01/10/2018 12:46

Don't stay home, go and enjoy yourself. If you're not sure just ask a member of staff if the seats have room. They will know what you mean and help guide you to which rides to go for & avoid. I'm sorry that some people on here have been so rude to you. But you know those people that have nothing nice to say, are feeling bad about themselves really. They are trying to make you feel bad too, so don't let them. Have a lovely day.
