To feel like I'm not wanted?

H is bringing our dd somewhere today. I asked him what time we were going at (I assumed I was going). He has told me numerous times over the last few day that "you don't have to come if you don't want to".

I feel like He doesn't want me there but won't actually tell me he doesn't want me there.
So now I'm feeling shitty and pissed off.
Am I reading too much into it?

Maybe he's just looking forward to some time alone with DD? Maybe he genuinely thinks you don't want to come and is trying to give you an out?

Where are they going ? Is it that he wants some Dad and dd time ? Weird way of going about it though. Ask him outright if he would mind if you went too.

He's going to see a member of his family (not immediate). I don't think he wants dad/ daughter time.

Some of his immediate family really don't like me and I think he's afraid it will all come out to extended family. It's either that or he's ashamed of me. (I'm not as attractive as when we met)

Or maybe he thinks it will be dull for you and that you might like some time to yourself?

CuriousaboutSamphire · 30/09/2018 12:06

Ask him... buntly!

NorthEndGal · 30/09/2018 12:11

Just say, " actually I would like to come"

Badwifey · 30/09/2018 12:30

If I ask him we'll end up fighting. He always jumps straight into defensive mode.

Love it when DH says this and I always take him up on the offer Wink

sahknowme · 30/09/2018 12:39

Sounds like a good opportunity to have some relaxing time to yourself. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth!

If I ask him we'll end up fighting. He always jumps straight into defensive mode. Oh! You do have a problem then!

stripeszebra · 30/09/2018 12:41

is it that you don't like them too?
