Hubby away Sat night. Raided the fridge. Began with one mini magnum. Finished all 4. Worried I’m going to look like a whale next week. AIBU?

If these were Iceland own brand chocolate and raspberry ice creams I would polish off the lot

Lily27 · 29/09/2018 23:13

Ugh...4 magnums will never get me back to a size 10. You lucky girl

I wouldn't worry
You will be dead longer than you are alive so it really doesn't matter.

ProudThrilledHappy · 29/09/2018 23:19

I ate 8 lint balls the other day and realised that was 400 cals..tbh I think the magnum are more worth it
Shock lint balls?? Grin

chickenfeathers · 29/09/2018 23:19

Hmmm. Why don't we start a "how much crap can you eat in one day thread without feeling guilty" . Let's just embrace Saturday night - be happy, drink and eat crap! Grin

SheGotBetteDavisEyes · 29/09/2018 23:21

Worried I’m going to look like a whale next week

Really?

I’m not going to tell hubby

I was never in. But I'm out.

SinglePringle · 29/09/2018 23:21

Ah, man... I’m with the ‘really?!’ posters...

Would I eat 2 x Magnums? No.

Do to think eating one is bad? No. For you.

But I don’t eat ice cream, chocolate, biscuits, sweets etc because for me, being slender is more important. I like being able to walk I to any shop and wear any item

Just because size 16 is the most common size on paper, doesn’t meant it don’t make me feel fat.

HeddaGarbled · 29/09/2018 23:24

You don’t really think that eating 4 mini magnums on one occasion is going to make you “look like a whale next week”, do you?

MintEye · 29/09/2018 23:26

I was never in. But I'm out.

This. The posturing.

BreconBeBuggered · 29/09/2018 23:32

4 mini Magnums will be full of calcium, surely? Think of the goodness. I'm on my 3rd packet of cheese & onion and trying to persuade myself that there are hardly any crisps in a multipack bag so what do they expect? You're a rank amateur, OP.

ScreamingValenta · 29/09/2018 23:36

Which Magnum variety were they?

FusionChefGeoff · 29/09/2018 23:37

I ate an entire chocolate trifle to myself when DH was out last night.

Recommended serving was 1/5 of a trifle Grin

But I'm training for a1/2 marathon so I think that's an excellent trade off.

Theorbo · 29/09/2018 23:37

I once started a thread about how I polished off a whole terrys chocolate orange in one go. I got a lot of chocolate confessions about industrial quantities of the brown stuff being eaten in a very short time span. So you have my empathy. If there is chocolate or products containing it in the house, that’s like a red rag to a bull for a lot of people.

kateandme · 29/09/2018 23:39

these threads aren't serious.if you are feeling this much guilt and shame over food u need help as it serious disordered thinking to be bothered this much

MrsFezziwig · 29/09/2018 23:41

Sofabitch do you mean Lindt balls? Or if not, are you a cat?

notacooldad · 29/09/2018 23:44

Bloody hell, lighten up!!

The humourless are out tonight between this and darkened on washing!!

ferrier · 29/09/2018 23:48

I can't resist doughnuts. 5 sugared ring doughnuts in a bag from Sainsbury's or wherever. Why can't they just put one in the bag. Anyway, there are simply no redeeming features of doughnuts ... they are out and out badness. The only thing to do is skip a meal in order to offset the damage done. Which I do happily because they're worth it.

kateandme · 29/09/2018 23:50

notacooldad ok if she was joking sorry.but op sounded so serious that's all.thats why I reacted that way as that would've been really concerning.sorry again

RubaDubMum89 · 29/09/2018 23:52

Fuck it OP it's a one off, as long as you're not having 4 magnums as a mid morning snack everyday you'll be fine. Enjoy a little indulgence!

I'm alone this weekend for the first time in forever.... Tonight I had a Chinese to myself, a handful of some strange jelly sweet things and I'm currently sucking my way through half a bag of sherbert pips! I may or may not have had 6 chocolate fingers for breakfast too... 😂.

I'll do a swift march up the stairs tomorrow and it'll all be reet 😁

yorkshireyummymummy · 29/09/2018 23:54

Bully for you! That’s a ‘superior’ fattist comment is ever I read one. Why on earth did you feel the need to comment on this thread ( which was intended to be lighthearted!) .

I detest this type of PA sneering at people who weigh too much.

I will end with the divine line from Patsy about Bubble
“ She’s emaciated - just like her brain”.

notacooldad · 30/09/2018 00:08

Sorry if I sounded harsh, the sea threads are usually light hearted and everyone likes in like a game if To Trumps trying to out do each other!!

notacooldad · 30/09/2018 00:09

Sorry my last post was to kateandme
My highlight didn't highlight!

SinglePringle · 30/09/2018 08:58

Yorkshire, I’ve a PhD. Not such an emaciated brain...

longwayoff · 30/09/2018 09:13
