Heckled by mechanics

I was walking home from a meeting with my OH and he had just accidentally tripped me up in a car park. Badly scraped my knees and hands. We rounded the corner where there is a car garage and I playfully pushed him for hurting me and we both laughed. Carried on walking and about 30 seconds later one of the mechanics shouted ‘oi’ twice rather aggresively. I turned around and the two of them were pointing at us/me. I chose to ignore them. I presume they thought I was abusing OH but it was a light push, it didn’t even move him and we both laughed and were clearly joking. It’s refreshing that they were concerned but it really wasn’t their place to be shouting at me and not sure what they were going to do if I responded to them? AIBU to think they should have just carried on with their work? I’d understand if I’d hit him or shoved him to the ground and we were shouting at each other but it was really nothing. It’s irked me a bit more than it should probablyBlush I wonder if they were getting geared up to have a go at me for it

Can't really get myself bothered by this.
Could have been shouting for many reasons, and if they were concerned for you or your OH, then I think that's actually a nice thing.

Not really a heckle either.

Yes, really quite far from a heckle isn’t it?

Seems quite nice that they sought to intervene in some small way when they saw one person push another. Who knows how “playful” it actually looked. Maybe they thought you were pushing him away because he was harassing you.

Not worth bothering about in the slightest.

Oh it’s like CBB with whathisface and whatsername!

Meh, yabu to say they should “just have got on with their work”. If m, hypothetically, you’d pushed him and it wasn’t playful, I’m sure he’d have appreciated the intervention.
