...is how I read AIBU in my head. Followed by Yanboo and Yah-boo. Ayboo? Or how do the rest of you read it? Grin

I read it how you read it. Never really occurred to me it's not how everyone might read it

LucieMorningstar · 27/09/2018 19:12

I read it the same and weirdly, was thinking the exact same thing today! Spooky 👻 !!

ChanandlerBongsNeighbour · 27/09/2018 19:17

Yep me too! I even say it in my head in response to people irl! Blush

mytoolsmycloak · 27/09/2018 19:24

It's eye-boo according to DH

ImFreeToDoWhatIWant · 27/09/2018 19:26

Yep, 'eye-boo' for me too!

EllenJanesthickerknickers · 27/09/2018 19:29

It's 'am I being unreasonable' to me.

Trills · 27/09/2018 19:31

I pronounce it like that, but if it doesn't make sense in a sentence as 'am I being unreasonable' then I find reading it really grates.

BubbleySoup · 27/09/2018 19:31

'Eye-m-buh' for me

SmellyHead · 27/09/2018 19:32

Yanboo

Walkerbean16 · 27/09/2018 19:33

i also read it as Am i being Unreasonable

stellabird · 27/09/2018 19:35

I hate acronyms - I read "Am I Being Unreasonable" otherwise it makes no sense.

0lgaDaPolga · 27/09/2018 19:35

I read it as eye-boo

IHaveBrilloHair · 27/09/2018 19:38

I read it as Ay-boo, and then the answers yay-boo, or nay-boo.

MammaSchwifty · 27/09/2018 19:43

Aye-boo

NotUmbongoUnchained · 27/09/2018 19:45

Eye-boo, yanboo, yabooo.

Have to stop myself saying those in real life situations quite a lot.

SneakyGremlins · 27/09/2018 19:46

Shednik · 27/09/2018 19:46

Funny how it gets in on you, isn't it? I referred to someone's husband as their DH in a written communication recently and caused some confusion! Grin

I thought this thread was going to be about Scottish greetings Blush

Havaina · 27/09/2018 20:28

No way, AIBU is pronounced 'Eh-bu'.

Ebu (pronounced Eh-bu) is an actual word, 'ay-bu' is not.

WhereIsBlueRabbit · 27/09/2018 20:30

A-I-B-U for me - but Yan-boo and Yahboo!

CaptainCabinets · 27/09/2018 21:01

Yanboo, I read it as eyeboo!
