I am away (not in the UK) to attend a conference. I booked a 3 star hotel that was on one of the "recommended hotel" lists given by the conference. When I arrived it was really grim. The room was like a bunker, looking out onto wasteland. No air con and I didn't feel I could sleep with the window open as it would be easy to climb in from outside. It felt really unsafe. (I do suffer from claustrophobia so knew I wouldn't be able to sleep). Booking have charged me 86 euros for the 1st night. WIBU to try and claim this back? I am now in another 3 star which is lovely!
