WWYD? Job interview

Zoezzzz · 26/09/2018 18:31

I have got a phone call this afternoon about a job I applied for. She asked a few questions then suggested I come in for an interview next week. She said she'll email me about dates times etc. About 1 - 2 hours later I received another phone call from the same person asking if I can come in tomorrow for the interview. I said yes and we agreed on a time. She again said she'll email me the details and confirm but I haven't received an email. What should I do ? Interview is first thing in the morning so can really call her as she won't be in before that.

I'd go in as discussed.

If you know the time and where it is go for the interview, I'm not sure what the issue is other than she didn't confirm it in an email

Zoezzzz · 26/09/2018 18:40

There is no issue but for all my previous interviews i received an email just to confirm date time etc and I found this unusual.

Turn up for the interview. The recruiter may have not 100% confirmed it with the hiring mgr, but the hiring mgr will not send you away, even if he/she has to find someone else to meet with you!

garethsouthgatesmrs · 26/09/2018 18:45

I agree you should go. She may have your email address wrong or think she pressed send and she didn't. As she contacted you by phone twice I am sure she would ring if it was cancelled. Hope it goes well.

It's not through a recruiter. I applied directly to the company for the job

Have you checked your spam box just in case?

DanglyEarOrnaments · 26/09/2018 18:53

Please call and ask them to check spam folder, we've had this with our potential new recruits. Very grateful when they still turn up and we find out the info we sent went to their spam!

This happened to me and I missed all emails as they went straight to my junk folder. I would just go in for the agreed time. Good luck!
