AIBU to think that Macron did a wonderful thing in speaking the truth about the liars in our political system

AIBU to be fed up of people trying to misconstrue Macron’s comments on Mumsnet, when they can be clearly be read by Mumsnetters in any newspaper or seen on the news? IMO the people leading the Brexit campaigns wilfully misled the population and then have left May to try and sort out the impossible. I for one agree wholeheartedly with Macron and am glad that it has now been publicly acknowledged by another head of state from a ‘friendly’ nation.
I am fed up of passive aggressive posters on Mumsnet claiming to be on the opposite side to the aide they’re actually on so they can use it as a tool to try and convince people of their point of view and when they are properly challenged they spit their dummy out!

I agree. We all know they lied. The faux outrage at someone pointing this out is ridiculous. And Theresa isn't devoid of guilt over this either. She continued to claim that the new NHS funding would come from the brexit dividend even when it had been proved that the brexit dividend didn't exist. She lied yesterday when she said the EU hadn't told her why chequers wasn't compatible with the single market. Not one of our politicians has any shame anymore. No one resigns when they've fucked up. Look at failing Grayling.

She also doubled down on the referendum being a fair vote when it has been proved vote leave cheated. She's an accessory in my view. It comes to something when our press is so useless that another head of state points out the truth and they lambast him rather than the liars themselves.

In the interests of balance: Remain also overspent (See above re Vote Leave cheating) but there has been no investigation into this by the Electoral Commission.

MN hates bullies - unless it's the EU member states or the Commission trying to bully the UK into remaining in the EU (because they don't want to lose a net contributor OR make leaving look attractive for countries who have been fucked over eg Greece, Italy etc). MN cognitive dissonance at its finest Hmm
