I don't get why people stockpile cleaning stuff! I have 1 bottle Zoflora, 1 bleach , 1 Mr Muscle bathroom cleaner, 1 Mr Muscle window cleaner, 1 bottle of fairy liquid! Would rather have money sitting in my bank instead of my cupboard.

I was speaking to someone just now who works in a network company which manages social media pages and specialises in social media growth and success and they had their suspicions on the growth of her Instagram page. Because she appeared in this morning, it is only expected that she would have a massive increase of followings. But the growth has been pretty robotic since then, increasing at the same speed everyday. Also the recent 1 mil celebration is cringe as though she knew it was going to hit 1 mil today and buying the decor and food and having company. Maybe she is genuine and I do not like to speculate but something fishy seems to be going on.

nipersvest · 18/10/2018 17:48

That's just weird, passing the 1 million mark today and coincidentally light up letters celebrating mysteriously appear. I smell something fishy going on. Not sure what, but something just doesn't sit right with this anymore.

Instacrumb · 18/10/2018 17:49

Yeah it does seem weird she would know she's going to hit a million today and just happens to have giant letters to hand!

Shitlandpony · 18/10/2018 17:51

She said on her stories the other day that she is not a paid influencer though? She said she gets some things sent to her but is not sponsored.

Givemeabreakt · 18/10/2018 17:55

Zoflora is manufactured by Thornton & Ross. Minky is the trading name of Vale Mill.

BatFacedOK · 18/10/2018 17:55

Her growth will be such that she will have known - to within a few days or so - when she'd hit a million so I see nothing fishy about that

MarshaBradyo · 18/10/2018 17:56

I assume she didn’t post 1m until it reached that in which case it’s easy to pre order the letters and get the snap ready

That’s not suspect is it?

Mummyofsiz · 18/10/2018 18:17

Organic social media growth completely differs to generated or paid followers. If it’s organic then it doesn’t go at a steady speed. It peaks then it goes down then it may peak at certain times. It doesn’t go up thousands everyday the same.

Ofcourse you can pre purchase letters if you are anticipating it will hit 1 mil. But you would not be that prepared to the T. Where you order food to celebrate and get dressed up and have a friend round to celebrate and ready to go live as soon as you hit 1 mil.

Like I said no one here knows if there’s more to what we see. Maybe there is. Maybe there isn’t. But it’s always good to have a open mind and not follow blindly.

I used to enjoy watching when I first followed but these days the swipe ups seem to be excessive. And the content seems to be repetitive.

Boohissmiss · 18/10/2018 18:18

Oh cringe at that 1 million the arrogance to order those letters weeks ago if not months ago. She likes to keep it on the down low and keep it classy NOT

MarshaBradyo · 18/10/2018 18:19

Oh it’s completely not my thing, I don’t use zoflora (or clean too much, pay someone for that!)

So no blind following here. I do find it intriguing. Well a little bit

Agree steady isn’t the way it usually goes

MarshaBradyo · 18/10/2018 18:23

I do think you could be fairly prepared though
But who knows

IHaveBrilloHair · 18/10/2018 18:30

As I said on another thread, it's just the latest thing for the huns to join.
It's been slow cooker groups
DIYOAB
Charlie's army
Find Corrie
And now some shite cleaning thing.

Mrs Hinch knows exactly what she's doing.
She's taking advantage of people and encouraging them to spend money they probably don't have.

VerbeenaBeeks · 18/10/2018 18:46

She's taking advantage of people and encouraging them to spend money they probably don't have.
You barely need to spend anything though, that's the thing.
She's not encouraging people to spend money they don't have.
Zoflora 69p near me, B and M and Home Bargains you can pick home decor stuff up for a tenner or less. It's affordable and within reach for most.

Shitlandpony · 18/10/2018 18:58

I am a bit annoyed about the zoflora thing as I have used it for 20 years and thought it was my special secret Grin.I have always stockpiled it though as I only like certain flavours .

assumptionsmakeanarseofuandme · 18/10/2018 20:23

it’s interesting to see how blindly you all believe Gemma (TOM) and what she’s saying. she’s not being honest about what’s gone on but she hides behind this ‘i’m just a regular mum’ facade and people seem to suck that shit up.

MissMarplesKnitting · 18/10/2018 20:27

Ooh look, just to illustrate the points made.....a perfect example.

Shitlandpony · 18/10/2018 20:32

Yes, an account registered simply for one purpose too. We are under attack Grin

Homeinspo · 18/10/2018 20:37

I watched a bit of her live and she said she got the letters delievered today.. how would you know you would reach it today?

I feel it is all a ploy.. Minky will be back on sale tomorrow to celebrate her 1 mill or her merchandise will come out.

I also find it odd for 1 mill followers she only has about 8k on her live? You would have way more watchers then 8k.

blackvelvetband · 18/10/2018 20:46

I've just dropped onto the love video that's she's doing. Omg it's cringe. She needs to stop this.
Also just thinking, she's got a million followers and only 7k are watching her live 🤨

assumptionsmakeanarseofuandme · 18/10/2018 20:48

it’s very apparent you’re all very new to the influencer world. watch beauty accounts as your marker. 3 million followers and 2k live viewers. her numbers are absolutely fine.

IHaveBrilloHair · 18/10/2018 20:49

Verbeena
It's not one bottle if zoflora, it's 12, and loads of other stuff, she encourages a cupboard full if cleaning products, she calls it her Narnia.

VerbeenaBeeks · 18/10/2018 20:58

@IHaveBrilloHair - yeah, she calls her cleaning cupboard her Narnia.
I must say I've succumbed to buying some stuff that she's recommended after seeing it on her stories. For example I'd never heard of the Pink Stuff but after buying some of it last week I now love it!
Brought our grubby radiators up lovely and clean lol.
I just got one though to see if I like it, and when it's gone I'll go out and get some more (only the one,or might stretch to two as I know I'll use it.)
Some people do hoard/stockpile.Not my thing, but I appreciate some do. You just need to brave going over to the preppers board on MN to see that.
Now that's scary shizzle in there Grin
She's hardly got arms twisted behind people's back saying they have to buy 20 instead of just 1.

Mummyofsiz · 18/10/2018 21:00

No it’s not normal to have 1% of your viewership to join in live on a Friday in prime time. 10% is usually the norm. 8k is not even 1% of the flowers

Anyways all the best to her and anyone else. It’s just good to state facts.

Homeinspo · 18/10/2018 21:02

I am not new to the influencing world i have seen influencers with more followers then her. 8k is nothing. Very fishy!

Lollypop27 · 18/10/2018 21:11

So whys Gemma from TOMM not being real? She doesn’t do affiliated links or anything. I know she’s releasing a book next year but she’s been completely honest about it.
