To think that situational judgment tests are the biggest pile of bull crap ever created to justify existence of HR as a profession?

Pretty much sums it up in the title.

I can admit that I might be bitter about not being able to some pass SJTs. However, for life of me, I can't see how those can be representative of anything.

Most organisations "pride themselves in being diverse etc....blah". However, isn't having a set example of behaviours is the exact opposite of variety?

Other than HR departments getting lazy, is there any other explanation for the rise of this fruitless meaningless soulless way of sorting candidates? What happened to the good old verbal/numerical?

Statistically speaking, I do not believe that there are enough candidates, who have exactly the same score, needing to differentiate between them.

Rant over.

I do genuinely want to know arguments pro this ridiculous recruitment fad.
