To want to wear my pj's on the school run?

Joking of course, I would never do that......

However I do want to be warm and comfy, especially on windy, rainy days such as these. I want to look naice and respectable yet hate tugging on skinny jeans everyday and being uncomfortable.

What does one wear?

Yanbu as I want to (but also never would) Grin How about nice joggers or leggings? Boots with a furry lining? Nice woolly socks?

BillywigSting · 20/09/2018 13:58

I wear fleecy leggings, comfy boots with fluffy socks, a soft jumper and a long coat.

The long coat hides my bump, the leggings and jumper feel like pj's and my feet stay warm and dry in the boots. The socks stop the boots rubbing.

It can even look quite smart if you choose the right jumper /boots. Maybe finish it with a nice hat and scarf when it's really cold

*bum. No more bump to speak of now just a very squidgy belly!

Joggers or leggings. I wear leggings or jeggings most of the time anyway, they're much more comfortable than jeans.
If you want to wear pyjamas outdoors you can get some that look like tracksuits, I think they call them loungewear.

Littlechocola · 20/09/2018 14:07

Chinos? Skirt with tights and boots?
I think I’m allergic to leggings and tracksuit bottoms away from the gym.

DunesOfSand · 20/09/2018 14:13

It's HOT doing the school run here.
I wear yesterday's shorts and teeshirt, and walk home the long way. All I'm fit for after that is a shower!
One Mum this morning was wearing her fetching red bambi PJs and flip flops.
Trying to think what else I saw. Nothing notable.
So, I'd suggest wearing whatever you wish. The chances are noone will really notice or care. unless you have Bambi PJs

There are other items of clothing than skinny jeans OP Grin

Get some comfy jogging bottoms or something.

aperolspritzplease · 20/09/2018 14:36

Dress with tights and boots is my go to in winter.

svengoren10 · 20/09/2018 17:45

So it seems leggings and chunky socks are a thing?!! Today I wore leggings but felt a bit scruffy. Have tried shopping around for some thick, smarter leggings but haven't found much! Not sure I can face a dress and tights in the mornings when I have three kids 5 and under to chivvy along Confused

I think you might be overthinking things a little bit here, OP. It's just the school run, you don't need to dress smartly.

LolaPickle · 21/09/2018 00:05

Honestly, I have seen posts on here dissing mums who wear PJs
