We have two private parking spaces directly at the rear of our property, alongside other neighbours' parking spaces.
Last week, someone left a motorbike in one of our spaces. It hasn't moved since, and is SORN according to the DVLA database.
The council aren't interested as it hasn't been left for a 'significant amount of time', or left in a dangerous state / illegal place.
Ans idea of what we can do to get the vehicle removed are most welcome!

Can’t you just wheel it out the way??

There's not really anywhere close by we can safely push it to without blocking another neighbours' parking space unfortunately. Its a new build development so every inch of road is being utilised.

I'd be pushing it out the way. Or my DH and one of his mates would lift it and put it somewhere it can be seen by DVLA and removed (no insurance etc).

ShutUpBaz · 19/09/2018 14:15

Cross post. I'd push it out on the main road. The owners obviously don't care about it.

Phone the local scrap yard and they'll soon pick it up. Happened to a car on our street that had been abandoned, two burst tires and a smashed window. The council came the next week but the vehicle was long gone.

Defo move it to the street at let them get a ticket then towed

PUGaLUGS · 19/09/2018 14:34

Just bloody move the thing.

Troels · 19/09/2018 14:43

Park it on some double yellow lines it'll be ticketed and sorted in no time.

Does it look like a good bike? It's possibly nicked and being left to see if it has a tracker.
