AIBU to be shocked that our daughters can be raped at school and no one in charge seems bothered?

Has anyone seen this? Apparently sexual assaults and even rapes of girls are happening in our children’s schools and the DfE isn’t doing anything about it. Despite a government report demanding action TWO years ago.

Yup

I am afraid this is not down to the Dfe this is what happens when children as young as 6 have access to porn and the internet

Every parent

Not my child

They will be bullied if the don’t have a I phone at 7
It’s for safety

All horse shit but many won’t be told it’s never their child looking at anything always their child who can be trusted I seen so many posts is it ok to look at my child’s phone

Their is no child who needs a internet enabled phone especially at primary school

But people will not have it neglecting to put basic protection and won’t take them at night

Children viewing porn really concerns me. My husband had a, now ex, friend who turned out to be a paedophile. Looking back the only thing that was slightly different about him from other boys was that he watched/looked at a lot of porn from a very young age. A programme the other day featured a paedophile who said he turned to it because he had viewed a lot of porn and was no longer turned on so had to go to something more ‘extreme.’ I don’t think everyone who views porn turns into a paedophile or other sex offender but it does worry me what it could do to children’s developing brains so mine don’t have phones, don’t have unsupervised access to the internet and when they go to secondary if I do get them a phone it will be a basic call and text one only.

kits What about their friends showing them porn on their phones/tablets/laptops? At school or elsewhere. Unfortunately other people's parenting will affect your children, no matter how careful you are. Even homeschooled children are not completely immune unless they are never allowed to visit friends.
