If there is any advice you could give to someone applying to a HCA role in a CMHT specialising in first episode psychosis. (Teens and adults)
And if there is any psychosis and psychosis recovery related pearls of wisdom anyone could share!
Thanks so much

Not sure what your previous experience is but I'd want to know from a HCA that they would seek advice from senior staff if unsure and are aware of their limitations rather than expert knowledge of psychosis. Although do detail your rekevant exoerience and training. In interview you might get asked about safeguarding e.g. what would you do if a young person disclosed abuse answer being believe them, don't promise to keep it secret, seek senior advice, don't confront the alleged perpetrator. Read the job spec and demonstrate you meet the criteria in the applications. Google the Trust values. Hope you get some more tips. Good luck.

I’ve been a receptionist in adult general mental health services for four years and have shadowed band 7 nurses on assessments as well as working with crisis teams, and have a PGDip in Children’s mental health and education (teaching SEMH Kids), and I’ve worked in a youth offending team, lots of training and work with Young people with MH issues .
I’ll whack it all in.
Thanks so much.
I’m hoping a Career change is on the horizon 🤞
