We’re a mixed family so want to move to a diverse but nice area we will have about 300k to spend

OP posts:
NorthernRunner · 17/09/2018 20:11

I met mine at penn road skate park Grin

9amtrain · 17/09/2018 20:11

You know whether we live there or not how?

TheZeppo · 17/09/2018 20:15

I bet we have all met in the bar queue 😂

gilmoregal · 17/09/2018 20:16

Northern- Did you go just to watch? My now husband also used to be at Skate Park at 15/16. I may have gone there with friends to look at him.

NorthernRunner · 17/09/2018 20:18

Oh my god yes, just to eye up the boys. We must know each other!

gilmoregal · 17/09/2018 20:19

Northern- How funny, we must!

ChristmasFluff · 17/09/2018 20:24

Alelujah has it right IMO. I grew up in Wolverhampton and still visit almost weekly. I love how friendly the people are. I'd also add the roads around West Park have some lovely houses and it's a very culturally diverse area local to lots of churches. I'd really recommend going and driving around there and the other areas Alelujah mentioned.

gingajewel · 17/09/2018 20:46

I’m in wednesfield! Hero’s and the varsity were my places of choice!! I met my other half in revolution!

zenasfuck · 17/09/2018 20:48

80p drinks at hero's on Tuesday nights anyone ?

I loved the canal club and Euro bar too

Did anyone go to Kipp's ?

Flatwhite101 · 17/09/2018 20:57

I'm disappointed no-one's mentioned the cowboy yet!

NorthernRunner · 17/09/2018 21:15

The cowboy that turned into the Jesus preacher? 🤣

TheZeppo · 17/09/2018 21:17

Euro bar! God this is turning into a right trip down memory lane 😂

zenasfuck · 17/09/2018 21:17

And Ezra the preacher

The cowboy was crazy

poppym12 · 17/09/2018 21:23

The cowboy with the cassette player on his shoulder?

MadisonAvenue · 17/09/2018 21:29

Is this the same cowboy who used to walk around in the 80s? I remember a bloke who was always in the town centre around 84-85ish dressed in full cowboy gear and he'd point his (hopefully) fake guns at people. Pretty sure there was a cassette player too.

NorthernRunner · 17/09/2018 21:35

madison yes that’s the one 👍🏻😂

It was great around 2006-2010 Grin

Flatwhite101 · 17/09/2018 21:46

That's the cowboy, but wasn't/still isn't that old! Has given up the outfit and cassette player and taken up with the street preachers now.

Flatwhite101 · 17/09/2018 21:48

Sorry, re-read that properly. Realised you meant 1985, not 85 years old Blush

Goingalonenow · 17/09/2018 21:51

I'm from Varsity days 2006ish? Then onto Planet. Donkey the taxi driver was around. Massive group of emo/pop punk idiots who everyone in town knew.

Over600Ecalypts · 17/09/2018 22:02

I remember the Lord Raglan as an Indie disco. And The Dorchester.

The Gifford Arms..... Discuss...

Gravelface · 17/09/2018 22:03

Oh, Canal Club! That's bought back some memories. How lovely that someone met their husband there. A man stood on my toe and broke it in there. Ha!

I do have the odd night out in Wolves centre and there are a few brill bars, and the Dog & Doublet which is ace.

TheZeppo · 17/09/2018 22:09

I worked the odd shift at The Gifford Arms! And LOVED the Dorchester!

Goingalonenow · 17/09/2018 22:12

I used to drink in Giff but only in the summer, so I could stand outside
