@Goingalonenow the MOTH is the only place to meet in town Wink

imnotalpharius · 17/09/2018 19:22

Check out All Nations website, the lead pastor Steve Uppal is pretty good, I saw him at Spring harvest this year.

Alelujah · 17/09/2018 19:24

Lived in Wolves for years. Areas recommended are Penn, Finchfield, Tettenhall, Whitwick, Bradmore, Castlecroft. Basically the west side is nice in my opinion.

bunchybaby · 17/09/2018 19:32

I'm From Wolverhampton and it a great place to live . I grew up Perton ( big village ,just falls under south staffs ) but moved out to the other side of the city into what was considered a not so great part . Lovely house , lovely people no regrets.

With a £300k budget you could pretty much live anywhere in the city and buy a lovely house .

I've got myself a bit mad reading the comments on this thread . Angry

TheZeppo · 17/09/2018 19:34

Ahhhh I miss it! Grew up there. Loved the MOTH 😂

I miss Blast Off!

You could have a look at Wednsfield? I know it’s a bit rough and ready, but defo diverse and not far from town really.

Codsall is lovely. I like Penn. How about Coven?

TheZeppo · 17/09/2018 19:36

Avoid Whitmore Reams!

gilmoregal · 17/09/2018 19:41

@zenasfuck you must be around my age to be saying MOTH.

Also surprised at how many people from wolves.

wildewillow · 17/09/2018 19:43

zenasfuck · 17/09/2018 19:49

I loves blast off and cheeky monkey
Never been to planet

Omg do you remember decadence and mezzanine ?

gilmoregal · 17/09/2018 19:58

I do remember decadence. It was loads of different things a new name every year for a while. Do you remember the tube, no one ever remembers the tube. I loved it there it was two for one cocktails when I was 16 🙈

bunchybaby · 17/09/2018 20:02

I remember the tube and rothwells .

Cheeky monkeys was the best night out for a longtime although I was very fond of Atlantis on a Thursday back in the day .

I'm 37 so I've not managed a night on the town for a while Grin

Brummiegirl15 · 17/09/2018 20:02

My husband is from Wolves, I'm from Birmingham and ironically live in Redditch!

Some places in Wolves are lovely- such as Compton, Tettenhall, Perton, Finchfield. Others are horrendous and I most definitely wouldn't live in those parts if you paid me.

The city centre is very depressing and shops are closing left right and centre so whilst I appreciate you don't want a "Village" - the villagey parts are the nicest and certainly very diverse.

Wolverhampton Girls High school is very good as well.

Personally though I'd rather live in Birmingham.

I'm definitely not polish though and I must be deaf as I don't ever hear polish!
