To feel put off my husbands new beard

Ok, I know this is a very minor problem, very first world but it's having a big impact on my relationship. I just need some opinions and advice to help me as I know it's unreasonable.
My husband grew a beard while we were apart, due to work for a couple of weeks.
I really detest it, it scratches me when we kiss and I don't fancy him or want him near me because it looks like my Dad and brothers beards and it feels so weird.
He loves it, I can't ask him to shave it off as that would be unreasonable, I wouldn't want him pushing an opinion on me regarding my hair or appearance, but I hate it so much, it's affecting our relationship.
Any ideas to help me get used to it?

Beards are rank. Thankfully DH can’t grow one but if he could I’d refuse to have sex with him until it was gone. Problem solved!

Honestly love my fiancee regardless. Changes just take a while to get used to. When we met he was clean shaven all the time. Now he has a beard and glasses. Do I fancy him less. .nope.some quite odd responses on here

DH really suits one; unfortunately, no amount of length or beard oil changes it's scouring pad texture. The last time he grew one I struggled to cover the mess he made of my face, the less said about the mess on my thighs and pubic area the better (explaining that to my GP when it got infected was fun...NOT).

He hasn't tried to grow one since, he doesn't want to harm me again.

I hate them so much. When DP said he might get one, what did I think, I felt so awful- say yes & fancy him less or say no but feel I'd stopped him doing what he wanted.

I would hate it if my husband grew a beard, as I detest them, my Dad has always had a beard and it made me physically recoil in horror from him as it was scratchy and hideous plus the cat used to sit on his chest and chew his beard of an evening looking for dropped dinner remnants, so it was discussed that he would never grow a beard all the time we are married.
