To tell DF to STFU about my wedding

I'm getting married soon. I wouldn't mind a low key wedding but my dad likes to think of himself as a bit of a local celebrity so he's paying for a massive wedding. My mother is just as bad and they keep adding things in to the wedding so it's now a massive 2-day affair and they've invited more people than can fit in the church.

They're paying for all of it as they want to impress my very rich uncle and his side of the family.

There are so many arguments and because my dad thinks he's a VIP, word is getting out and people are being judgemental.

I want to get married to my lovely fiancé. He's the love of my life but people forget that this is our wedding and we're getting married because we love each other, not to show off about how rich or grand or important my dad thinks he is.

I can't say this in RL but Dad!! I just want a quick service, a bottle of Tequila and some Haribos Angry

This is funny. Yes I do feel a bit sorry for Eugenie, it was very very silly to have the ceremony in the same place as Harry and Meghan so soon afterwards as it's just inviting comparisons.

I don't want to watch it though or have to pay for any aspect of it. Totally inappropriate.

I think as you are a Princess of the Blood Royal, you should have a bash at least as big as your cousin's. Also, boo to the BBC for not wanting to broadcast the ceremony live, and those miserable lefties who object to stumping up £2.7m taxpayer's money for security. They'd only spend it on dismal projects for lesbian single parent refugees anyway. Go for it, and shine a light of love on the nation. (easy on the Tequila, Fergie!)

The sooner we get rid of the RF the better - the more you read about this wedding the worse it gets.

The Queen and Prince Charles are sadly the last in the lineage of dedicated Royals and I actually feel very sorry for Charles as I think he'd have made a very progressive King.

Have you got the videographer sorted OP, or is your Dad still arguing with them?

AgathaRaisinDetra · 16/09/2018 13:38

Dad wants a reportage style video which he wants to live stream. The media company says that's too expensive and Dad is stomping around shouting "Don't you know who I am?"

Embarrassingly people don't, he was wandering the office and a security guard tried to arrest him for trespassing.

Your mum probably has a few arrangements on the side, I wouldn't worry about media access.
