The recent 'group masturbation' news item from Paul McCartney bleached my eyes. I was born in the 70s but raised on 60s music meaning that rather than be a Stock Aitken Waterman follower in the 80s I was avidly listening to 60s original vinyls of the Beatles, Hollies and so on. I can't listen to Beatles songs now without wondering if it was a song inspired by those 'sessions'....OH and I've just thought about the band name 😮.... My world is crumbling.....

As a teenager I read a biography and it said how the Beatles poked fun at the disabled who sat at the front. NEVER had ANY time for them after reading that. 😡

Ringo wasn't a red coat, he played drums with bands who performed at Butlins. It was while he was performing at Skegness in 1962 that he got the call asking him to join the Beatles.

I think John was a phoney. Paul is worse though as he’s a bore. His desperate need to still be famous and relevant is slightly pathetic.
I don’t care that he did these things but his need to tell everyone makes him look like a fool.

Yes of course! That's where the confusion about Ringo being a redcoat comes in. He did play at Butlins but that's neither here or there.

On further googling I have discovered that they all watched when George Harrison lost his virginity at 17. So they must have been typical, juvenile, stoned teenagers when all this wanking stuff was going on.
