To be a bit pissed off at BIL gatecrashing our holiday

I tend to waffle so I’ll try to keep it brief!!

Relevant background is last year we spent two weeks on holiday with BIL1. He’s DHs younger brother, lived in the US and had never met our youngest DD so we met him at DisneyWorld for 2 weeks. I get on really well with him.

So now we’ve booked to go to Disneyland Paris in December and BIL2 (older brother) mentioned meeting us there. He lives in London so it’s easy to pop over. It’s been 3ish months since he saw the girls. (We live in Ireland).

So tonight he messaged DH that there was a sale on train tickets so he’s booked for the whole time we’re there.

I’m slightly gutted. I just don’t get on as well with BIL2 as I do with BIL1 (neither does DH). I find him hard work. BUT I feel I can’t complain as we did spend 2 weeks with BIL1.

That would piss me off too. I think it's very different if it's (a) someone you like and (b) someone you don't see often, because they live far away.

Your OH needs to step up and say "We'd love to see you for a day, but dlp is really hectic and we're cramming a lot into x days. So we'll be doing our own thing the rest of the time. " if he's booked to go on his own that's a strange thing to do without talking to you first. You could always suggest he spends his time in Paris....
