On self ID.
The consultation here isn’t about allowing trans people access to single sex spaces. They already have that. It’s not about making it easier to change your birth certificate - that’s what the government consultation is for. This consultation is about allowing anyone to access any single sex space on the basis of their say so. All the facilities that the City of London operate will be affected - not just in the square mile. From Burnham Beeches to Epping Forest and all the green spaces in London they operate like Hampstead Heath will be affected.
This is about making single sex spaces less safe, less private, less of a sanctuary for women. It’s being driven by a non-binary man who happens to be a mason. This isn’t about trans rights - they have the rights allegedly being sought in the consultation - it’s about men’s rights.
So please, if you value female spaces fill out the consultation today. It’s the last day before it closes.
