Just to make me feel better.

DD aged 2 has just had an hour long meltdown because she didn't want to go to the park. I never asked if she wanted to go to the park. I feel this may be related to the fact she got 3 hours sleep last night.

Give me your 'why the fuck are you crying' stories please!!

My nearly 2 year old cried today because I said his name. He also cried because I asked him if he was hungry. Cried because I served his dinner, shouted 'NOOOOO MAMA!!' and motioned for me to take it away so I went to take his plate then he cried cos he didn't want me to take it away after all! I never know where I am with him these days 😩😂

notdaddycool · 10/09/2018 21:55

Took his pyjamas off this morning, he rather liked the picture on the top.

CaviarAndCigarettes · 10/09/2018 21:55

She bit her sister but she didn't want to bite her sister.

WhatHaveIFound · 10/09/2018 22:02

DD didn't cry but is very upset that she didn't have any proper lessons at her first day in school today, it was all introductions and information being given out.

She is 16 and has just moved to a new school for sixth form Grin

Storminateapot · 10/09/2018 22:04

Driving home from town today we both cried a little because she's going to university in 2 weeks (she's nearly 19 and it's absolutely right for her, but man will we miss each other).

As a toddler...

She used to roll around the floor sobbing 'Pippiiiiiiiiinnnnnn' every time Come Outside ended on CBeebies. Actually it wasn't even CBeebies, it was only CBBC in the Olden Days. We videoed every episode in the end (remember VHS!) & watched it on a loop. If it's still on, do they still have the 'bread' episode? We still sing the song even now.

Also one time she had a massive meltdown because she didn't want to go on the boat 'NO BOAT!!!!'. There was no boat. We were not near water. Still no idea what that was about but the family still say 'no boat' every time we get on one.

Aww. Tough days as toddlers, then you blink and you're suddenly buying them big packs of pasta and detergent on special offer to take to uni. Enjoy! 😍

Puddlejumps · 10/09/2018 22:11

Because at he ate all his sandwiches and thought I had eaten some- wouldn’t accept he had eaten them all himself 😁

starsandstuff · 10/09/2018 22:21

My 2 year old niece sobbed hard one day because she didn't like her trousers. That she had selected to wear. She also used to cry at Wall-E because her name sounds like Eva and so when Eva was upset she got upset because...she was upset Confused

stopgap · 10/09/2018 22:21

Not today, but the other day. My 7-year-old son cried buckets because apparently his 4-year-old brother was giving up too easily while playing football.

“We will never play as a pair for Liverpool. I’ll have to go to Chelsea alone!” 😂

edwinbear · 10/09/2018 22:34

6 yr old DD had a meltdown this morning because 9 yr old DS was on the downstairs loo. We have 2 loos, plenty to go round. To be fair, he was taking his sweet time because he knows it winds her up.

Frankly, at their age, they should know better, and since it made us late leaving I succumbed to the biggest meltdown.

QuantumWeatherButterfly · 11/09/2018 12:19

This morning, DD (3) had a full on meltdown because I did the actions to Baby Shark just like she asked me to.

doesthemindrulethebody · 11/09/2018 12:32

I'm not a child but I cried for 20 minutes this morning because my clothes drier fell over and I couldn't find my other sock. Poor DP woke up to me sitting on the floor by the bee howling

monkerina · 11/09/2018 12:40

Oh I've found my people. 2.5 year old DS has just spent 20 minutes very upset because he wanted to watch Mary Poppins so badly. We were on the way home to watch Mary Poppins at the time.

ScruffyMcFunkyPants · 11/09/2018 12:53

Because she wanted to say hi to the whole fish on the fish counter in Tesco. Then she wanted to eat it. Raw. Then and there.

She also whipped up her top and tried to breastfeed her baby sister at the checkouts. She was so serious about it and very sad when I told her sh couldn't (I was crying from laughter at this point)

GreyStarz · 11/09/2018 13:03

His banana didn't have a face Confused

JoeElliotsMullet · 11/09/2018 13:04

Because she didn't want to put any clothes on, because DH kissed her goodbye when he left for work, because she wanted milk but not milk in a blue cup, because she didn't want to put her coat on to take her big sister to school, because she wanted "two eggs and another egg" to do baking three minutes before we were due to leave for nursery and I said no, because she is having a grumpy crabbit phase and is a contrary little madam.
Sigh.

DieAntword · 11/09/2018 13:06

Because while he was sitting on one of my knees I put his brother on my other knee.

Liskee · 11/09/2018 13:06

3 year old - because the night is soooooooo loooooooong.
2 year old - because we turned right out of the gate and not left

These are not even the flea sitting on top of the tip of the iceberg.

voxnihili · 11/09/2018 13:10

3 week old DD spent 2 hours crying, I'm pretty sure it was because she was tired. The obvious solution of just going to sleep did not occur to her ...

GaryWilmotsTeeth · 11/09/2018 13:11

DD(4) - because Hannah is a lovely name and she doesn't have a friend called Hannah.

Cath2907 · 11/09/2018 13:18

Because the imaginary present she imagined had the wrong color imaginary wrapping paper on it....

Back to school'itis!

sparklewater · 11/09/2018 13:20

Last night, 3yo, because his willy was pointing up after his bath. He kept hitting at it and saying 'go down, too big' while sobbing.

Looking forward to reminding him of that in years to come.

boomboo · 11/09/2018 13:23

Because I put on Paw Patrol as requested Hmm. DS has just turned three and has entered a stroppy defiant period- just lovely. Losing the will over here.

Toolchest13 · 11/09/2018 13:23

3.5 year old cried this morning because it’s not his birthday today. He does this most days! Not sure how he will react when it is his birthday

DianaPrincessOfThemyscira · 11/09/2018 13:25

DS3 had proper snotty sobs on Sunday at dinner time, I forget why. I asked him if he wanted five minutes and a cuddle to calm down, he said no. Five minutes of leaky eyes later he said he ‘actually did want a cuddle’. He did have the grace to admit he was just very tired!

He’ll be 7 in October by the way!

HidingFromMyKids · 11/09/2018 13:25

Yesterday she didn't want to eat the face of the gingerbread sheep and she couldn't keep it forever Hmm
