To get a personal trainer to haul my sorry fat arse into shape?

I'm in a massive rut. I'm an "all or nothing" person, but the "nothing" just keeps going on and on and I just can't seem to muster up the willpower to do something about it Sad
My diet is APPALLING, I am eating crap for the sake of it. And I'm doing zero exercise. I need an overhaul, and quick!
Previously I've managed to shift weight through slimming world and running / weekly classes. But right now I just can't get started. I mentioned a PT to DH yesterday, and he was really sniffy about it. It's spending money on something I could really do in my own. But right now I can't! I know I'm the one who needs to address my diet, but that will come once I start to get active I'm sure as there's no point doing one without the other.
I've never done this before. But I feel I need a radical solution before I hit obesity Sad

I say do whatever it takes to get your head in straight and make the lifestyle changes you need to. You might think you don't have willpower but that's bullshit. Right now, you simply have more excuses than motivation and excuses are plentiful and easy.

Some simple truths are you can't out exercise a shit diet and living in a fat, haggard body is horrid. You say "can't" but I know you can change your life. People do it every single day.

Do it! I got one earlier this year and it was one of the best things I’ve done for myself. It probably seems crazy to other people as you could do it alone but it helps with motivation, I learn new exercises, am doing the exercises correctly etc etc. The week before starting I started eating better and am very pleased with the results.

I see it as an investment in yourself. Even if just for a few months to get you going on your new journey. Good luck! 💪🏼

Do it ! I signed up with one late last year as I was just faffing about in the gym by myself and not making progress and it's one of the best things I've spent money on. Just don't rush in to picking one, getting someone you click with is important.

If you can afford it, just do it! I’ve always wanted a personal trainer as I could do with the expert knowledge re. correct exercises and nutrition but I don’t have the money to do it so I’m trawling the internet for answers and it’s a bit challenging. Blush

I think committing to one person could be really good as they will get to know you and then know how to best encourage you and support you through your mission. And once you know what you’re doing you can go solo. SmileGood luck! You’ll feel great once you start seeing and most of all feeling the results.
