To ask if anyone can confirm sex of my kitten from photo?

I feel a bit stupid asking this but..... had kitten 6 weeks. Told she was a girl. Took her to vets a couple weeks ago for injections. Vet said she was a girl but it took him ages to decide.

Last night I was cuddling her and she lays like a baby. I am convinced a little willy popped out. Can anyone tell? 😊😊😊

agnurse our Bob did exactly the same thing! He'd never been up on the cupboards before but stayed there all day. I put water and food up there for him.

When he jumped up he let out this long low groan of regret and sat very still for a moment poor thing. The next day he was completely normal and begging to go out though.

Also OP - we got a girl cat who turned out to be a boy one too. He was about 15 weeks when he stood inches from my DDs face one morning and she said "err mum.... those look a lot like boy dangly bits..."

He proudly shoved them in everyones face for a while until his trip to the vet just in case someone hadn't heard he was not a girl cat.

Crumbs, you need a new vet!

Zippitydoodar · 09/09/2018 20:04

We were convinced our male cat was a girl so named her Poppy. vet then told us she was a boy, he was always Poppy till he died.
Big daddy was Shirley.

Never mind the space between the pink bits, did you not notice the fluffy testicles? Our boys were very obvious.

agnurse · 09/09/2018 20:18

Thank you. Gatsby is a very nice boy. We adopted him from friends of ours when he was 2 months old. (He will be 1 at the end of October.) He was rejected by his mother so our friends hand reared him. He promptly decided that I'm his mum and that as a rule, where his mum goes, he follows. He likes to snuggle and purr for me.

Vet told us twice our boy was a girl. Only told me it was only different when I’d taken ‘her’ to be neutered and they told me the operation was cheaper than I was expecting! 🤔

Well I think the balls and his little willy just suddenly seemed to 'show'!!

The cat breeder said a girl straightaway although he/she was only ten weeks, then the vet said it at 11 ish weeks and I hadn't really thought to question it. But yes, now he/she keeps laying flat on her back asleep with legs splayed, it is pretty clear to see! I just thought I was going mad when it popped out Friday night.

At least when I phone up vets to book a time for neutering I can tell them (as they have him recorded as a girl) that there have been plenty of people online who have assured me he is a boy!

Boy for sure Wink

agnurse · 09/09/2018 22:44

The good thing is that if they think he's a girl and set up for a spay, and then it turns out he's a boy, it's not a massive issue. A neuter is much easier and simpler than a spay. Now, if they thought he was a boy and he turned out to be a girl, it gets more complicated.

BlueEyedBengal · 10/09/2018 01:34

100% sure a definitely boy catSmile

avamiah · 10/09/2018 01:37

I have 3 cats and I’d say this is a female .

ALongHardWinter · 10/09/2018 02:46

I've never seen a cat's willy before! Grin

therewillbetime · 10/09/2018 18:57

That’s true agnurse.

Sine I’ve found out he’s a boy, he’s gone a bit manic. Only 18 weeks but desperate to get outside.
