To ask if anyone can confirm sex of my kitten from photo?

I feel a bit stupid asking this but..... had kitten 6 weeks. Told she was a girl. Took her to vets a couple weeks ago for injections. Vet said she was a girl but it took him ages to decide.

Last night I was cuddling her and she lays like a baby. I am convinced a little willy popped out. Can anyone tell? 😊😊😊

My DM had a cat sexed by a vet as male which she called Jonathan, much to my DF's dismay.

Jonathan had kittens and got to be renamed.

I work with a male Abi!

Quite a few of us have had some confusion. Our kittys and cats are all gorgeous anyway!

We have an almost 5 month old kitten named Keith for the same reason. She is officially Mrs Keith now as ds2 named her and he wasn’t prepared to change it but we call her Keith for short.

Celestia26 · 09/09/2018 10:04

It's very obviously a boy. The anus and genitals are much closer together in a female.

Hoppinggreen · 09/09/2018 10:04

Friend of mine got a male kitten and called it Simon Cowell ( big X factor fan)
He FBpost a few weeks later was “Simon Cowell is a girl”

Gardai · 09/09/2018 10:06

I left Suzie in to be spayed, she came out neutered and called Sam.

bigsunflower · 09/09/2018 10:06

Boy

bigsunflower · 09/09/2018 10:06

And very cute

FoxFoxSierra · 09/09/2018 10:08

Grin that's definitely a boy. We have a female cat that we were initially told was a boy

dementedpixie · 09/09/2018 10:11

We picked up 2 'girl' kittens a couple of years ago but when I took then to the vet for their first check/ injections out turned out they were both boys. Dawn and Luna became Storm and Dusty

Forgottenmypassword · 09/09/2018 10:12

She's a boy, as you now know.

I know a female cat called Alan though, if that's any help.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 09/09/2018 10:21

I remember our family cat Paddy. A boy, Dad insisted on a boy.

6 months later.

Mum: Paddy's getting fat, I'd swear blind if he was a girl he'd be pregnant
Dad: He is. And she is.

She had 3 kittens. 😻

I saw an advert in the free ads for kittens looking for a good home so phone the number and they said they were all tabby boys, so phoned my mum who was housesitting and she took delivery for me. We got a phone call from her latter day I don't know what the hell it is but all I know is it's nuts. Came home to find mental kitty as my mother called it behind a fire guard growling Shock my husband grabbed the kitty and in a cat carrier mental kitty went . We took it to the vets to find out what the hell we had on our hands. The vet went out the back and returned with elbow length welding gloves on grabbed the puss lifted the tail up and said you have a girl and she's 4 weeks about and a total feralSad.we took her home and spent the next 6 months been kind and caring and after the 6 months of letting her make the terms you could fuss her on your lap and she loved playing with peacock feathers. We renamed her Delilah and she had a wonderful home with us for 6 yrs and then when missing 15 yrs ago. The story of Delilah was she was born to a feral cat in a stable and was totally isolated from humans until the man grabbed her and put her in the car to come to us. A bad start but she was destined to be our cat.

Pringlecat · 09/09/2018 13:12

If it helps, Abi is a boy's name and sounds identical to what you've been calling him/her!

Think it's short for Abishek.

1981fishgut · 09/09/2018 14:12

Non binary

thecatneuterer · 09/09/2018 14:29

Boy. Definitely.

KarlDilkington · 09/09/2018 14:46

I'm a vet, have been for a good couple of decades, and I still occasionally get it wrong Blush always so embarrassing! I once had a formal complaint about me made for sexing a tiny rabbit wrong. Grin

therewillbetime · 09/09/2018 19:09

Your stories are all so sweet and funny. Kitty was grooming himself today and let’s just say that it became very clear that he was a boy, even to me. Now to book him into vets for neutering 😊

Are you sitting on the loo in that photo?Grin

l0stmummy · 09/09/2018 19:17

Definitely a boy! And Mrs Keith made me laugh Grin

SuperLambBananas · 09/09/2018 19:18

The first photo I meant

Goth237 · 09/09/2018 19:26

Whatever your little one is, s/he's a cutie

agnurse · 09/09/2018 19:35

Aww...him nice boy.

If you've never had a male altered before, it's a very simple procedure. This is our Gatsby the evening after his surgery. He had never got on this high cupboard before, though he seems to like it up there as he has gone up on occasion since Grin

Does your kitten identify as a queen or a tom?
