Boris Johnson has a problem with honesty

Now that Boris Johnson is getting a divorce from his tolerant/long suffering wife, the telegraph are asking if that should affect his leadership ambitions..

No one (I know) has a problem with divorce per se. My issue is with Boris, it seems he can’t be honest with anyone about anything. He’s been accused of having serial affairs, his own family didn’t know he was going to come out as a brexit supporter, he double crossed May and keep leaking making us a laughing stock of Europe and he can’t seem to give a straight answer to anything!

So I don’t think the divorce is the issue but the morality of the person ... of which this divorce seems to be a result ...

Jacob Rees Mugg/Victorian dad is the alternative... Rees Mugg vs Corbyn would be mars vs Venus in triplicate. They would need translators!! We have a choice of dishonesty or total aliens.. shambles

Anyone else feel like they are needing some middle ground .. ??

What scares me about Boris Johnson is this idea that he's a man of the people. Because he has silly mugs and he says nasty things about Muslim women. And to some people that makes him a good 'un. We're screwed.

Shock

I need to go and have a lie down I cant deal with such shocking revelations at this time of the day

I don't actually care who he is having sex with as long as it is consensual I don't think it has an impact on how professional someone can be as long as they are not preaching one way of life and living another

Matthew Parris’s commentary on Boris from from a Tory perspective from before the referendum still says all that needs to be said.

I wonder how we would treat Theresa May if she had such a “colourful lovelife”.

EvilRingahBitch · 08/09/2018 10:53

Well a woman who’d given birth to five children, four of whom she lived with and one of whom she had no contact with, and who’d also had at least one miscarriage and an abortion would probably find her route to the top of politics practically impaired for one thing, not to mention the prejudice she’d face from Conservative party members. Giving birth to a child one month after your marriage and two months after your divorce from your previous marriage might also raise eyebrows.

he's a racist, misogynistic, deceitful and shrewd man.

People are taken in by his "bumbling" persona act, when actually everything he does is calculated.

I'm surprised his wife took that long to dump him.

I hate the Tories, but Boris Johnson makes Theresa May look good in comparison.

longwayoff · 08/09/2018 11:14

He's taken Trump as his model in the hope that we're as stupid as Trumps voters. He could well be right.

There is something that the British love about quirky, witty posh boys. We need to get over it

EvilRingahBitch · 08/09/2018 11:28

I think we’re allowed to still fancy Tom Hiddleston and like James Blunt on Twitter Squeegle. We just need to be more discriminating about people in actually important jobs.

He keeps satirists' wits sharpened. That is the whole purpose and only purpose for this self-aggrandizing turncoat.

Begs the question of what is the worth of great art really.

As mad as it may sound that blog about Boris actually gives me some comfort.

I prefer people who debate and carefully consider both sides of the argument. He has emersed himself in both sides and its brexit he has come out for.

What concerns me is the people who just bite for one side without ever thinking of the other side.

There have been many remain posters on mn who are throughly entrenched in their view how can any of us make a proper descion without doing this?
