not to know how to work the childlock on smax car

Hello,
in slight panic as toddlers are both trying to open doors on our car, the previous owners had one child lock on but we need both as we have a baby in the middle seat and so the toddlers are on the outer seats. I have read the manual and tried to turn where they said with the key but I was worried I was going to snap the key. Does anyone know how to do the smax childlocks? am i meant to use a screwdriver?

What year is it?

Sounds like an older model, get a strong sturdy flat head screw driver and then do it. If the other owners never used the child locks they coul have seized and might need a bit more strength than the key alone.

It's 2010, ok so a screwdriver? it does turn i just am worried about snapping key? thank you

Yeh try a screwdriver. I think yours is old shape so youve got white key holes inside the door?

Skoosh a bit of wd40 in there and leave it a few mins. If it's stiff then that should help.
